East coast mid Atlantic conditions tend to be a lot harder and icy at tines.There is nothing wrong with learning out west as the conditions are a lot more forgiving. The trails are longer and there is a lot more natural snow, great for falling. I learned to snowboard in my late 20s and didn’t get it until I spent a weekend out West.[/quote]
