Plus, why be nervous?? If they belong there, great.  If not, you should be much happier they are where they belong and do well.  Struggling in a class they were not meant to be in only ends poorly for everyone.

Look, times have changed, and I’m not saying that it’s for the better.  
I thought my mom was somewhat over protective when I was growing up. Now whatever she did when I was a kid would be totally free range. 
This past fall, at the base school, class placement letters were distributed by USPS for the first time. We had a giant neighborhood FB thread going about where in the neighborhood the mail carrier was - and it went on all afternoon until we all got our mail!
I joked that at least once when I was a kid in ES (so, somewhere between grades 1-5) I walked to the school ALONE to see who my teacher was, the day it was posted.  I remember I went alone, because to my parents’ chagrin, I found a kitten while at the school and brought it home with me![/quote]
