Op here. I am not getting engaged yet. I feel it’s headed in that direction, but waiting a good year is best. How expensive is too expensive. There is a nice jewelry set ( necklace and earrings) with her birth stone for about $400. Maybe we can go to a hotel of Inn with a spa. [/quote]

Sigh...comments like this so make me wish that I could find the modified, down to earth version of DCUM somewhere else. I'd fit in with that group better.  $400 is a hell of a nice gift for a new gf. I honestly think that is too high. [/quote]
