THIS! This is always the example I use when people are icked out by this. And as much as people seem to want to ignore it, sorry but things just WERE different for gay kids in the 80s. You might be 24 and only have been out for a hot minute, you might have seen a lot of this 17-24,25,26 year age gap because many young men were kind of on the same page emotionally/WRT to relationship maturity as far as how much they had even explored relationships, particularly if you lived in more conservative settings.

People want this movie to be not OK because much if it isn't OK now. That's fair. But sometimes we evolve into a better society not ONLY from a place where things were wrong/nefarious but from a place where things were just different and less than ideal. Its not so black and white.

Comparisons to Ray Moore's activities of yesterday are intentionally obtuse, and that's BS[/quote]
