Currently in middle school with four minutes between classes and kid is endlessly getting in trouble for needing to spend 10 minutes in the bathroom during class. They send Security down to come get him. We are just not very speedy in this department. Unfortunately his usual time seems to be sometime after lunch and it’s just causing trouble at school. There doesn’t seem to be any time in the morning for this luxury as we are trying to get up and out the door. How have others dealt with this issue?
Interesting how you don't have time in your busy schedule for your child's bodily function (that apparently every other family can work around) but the teacher has to stop teaching every single day for 10 mins to work it into his/her schedule. Plus interrupt security to go get him in case he's hurt or in some sort of trouble. Once in a while is one thing, but every day is ridiculous. If your kid is so desperate to poop that he needs to poop Right This Second then he should be able to get it out before they send a search party for him. It sounds like you need to look at what your kid is eating and also make sure you're all up in time for necessary bodily functions before leaving for the day.
