It does seem like they are setting themselves up for a limited run. It's like what my writing teacher used to say, "you break  it, you buy it." They include all these scenes for shock value without any real story purpose but then the writers are stuck in a world where all these ridiculous things have happened to no end...it's a definite way to lose viewers. They spent a total of like 60 seconds of airtime on Betty and Jug having sex for the first time and then gave half of the episode to the killing of the random drug dealer. Poor decision making by the writers. [/quote]

Even though I realize that they aren't trying to be a typical high school show, the fact that they glossed over the main couple's first times seems like a misstep.  Ultimately,  what will keep viewers coming back is their connections to the characters and the relationships,  not the ridiculous,  far fetched storylines. [/quote]
