As a practical matter, World Geography and foreign language are HS credit courses, so are on an intensified clip. So if you have an 8th grader taking intensified algebra, French/Spanish 2 and World Geo, you're basically doing the 8th grade version of HS AP work. Those tracks feed into the Young Scholars program at Yorktown, e.g. I think DD entered HS with 4 high school credits. The foreign languages culminate in the state exams. [/quote]
