[/quote] Having switched our middle schooler from public to Catholic I can tell you that the hardest part was so how far behind academically the Catholic school was. Great school, just not as much of an academic push. To the other PPs we have had multiple children go public to SJC and GZ. All scored horribly on the HSPT. Just kind of how it is for the public school kids since it is just a different beast than what they are used to. For my kids the teacher recs and transcripts were very strong which definitely got them in. Both ended up testing into advanced math even with abysmal HSPT scores.[/quote]
