Looking at the children that came into PK with us, settling aside race/ethnicity and sexual orientation, the following seem to be possible pluses, but who knows: The family is genuinely nice and also modest about their ed./professional background and money The parents are intellectuals (writers, journalists, professors, etc.) The family/child is bilingual or multilingual The kid is really polite and kind to other kids and adults [/quote]
