When I met my wife -- someone who was from a different part of the USA than me, and her family was from a different part of Europe than me. (Russia/Poland vs Austria). We had similar family traditions. Food, for example: Chinese on Christmas (because it is the only restaurant open). Sunday morning Bagels, cream cheese, and smoked fish (lox, white fish, etc). Brisket. Matzoh Balls for Passover....etc. Valuing education. Liberal tendencies. We are racially white, but always vote democratic (65-70%). [/quote]
