I'd like to know the answer to this question, too. People have paid their fines, done their time. Why shouldn't they have their right to vote restored? If we believe these criminals are irredeemable, why aren't they still in jail?

The only problem is that they're not going to vote Republican. If they did, Republicans would be falling all over themselves about how once people have paid their debt to society, we should allow them to fully engage in public life again to encourage them on the right path.[/quote]

The GOP has actively supported ensuring felons have the right to bear arms.  Funny how they want felons to have guns but not to vote.[/quote]
