Not surprising. The FBI had the Steele dossier, it makes sense that someone (probably more than one someone) at Justice also knew about it.
What reason would a DOJ attorney have for meeting with Steele and with Fusion GPS?
And 2) Why would Bruce Ohr keep these meetings secret from his FBI boss? -DP
Which boss? You mean Comey, Boente, Rosenstein, or Sessions? Isn't Sessions recused?
Rosenstein.
Um, crickets.
Why would Oh keep meetings secret? I don't know, did he? The Fox article doesn't say he did.
Bruce Ohr kept these meetings secret from his boss, Rosenstein. Bad cover-up. Consequences.
Link? The article doesn't say that. It does sort of imply... something.
+1. So much wrongness. It’s Ohr, not Oh The meetings were kept secret because they were classified They happened during the transition. Looks to pre-date Sessions. So that would have made Yates his boss The article DOES NOT SAY that the meetings were not disclosed up the chain of command The article DOES NOT SAY that Ohr was demoted for cause. It looks like he was career public service doing double duty until Trump finally bothered to appoint an Associate Deputy AG for the Senate to confirm. He can’t really be demoted from a position he wasn’t appointed to or confirmed for. Definitely Nunes IMPLIED something to Faux News.
