I just finished 3 IVF cycles at CCRM which was almost a complete bust that left me with only 1 embryo out of 13 that made it to blastocyst on Day 7 which was biopsied and frozen. And this was in spite of adding 26 frozen eggs taken when I was 34 and 38 years to the mix (only 14 survived the thaw, only 1 fertilized, and none made it to blastocyst). So, I'm left with a Day 7 blastocyst from one of my 41 year old eggs. My embryologist told me that there was about a 30% chance it would come back CCS normal. If it was normal, I had about a 30% chance of it leading to a live birth. I've googled day 7 blastocyst and have found that there isn't a lot of information or anecdotal stories about successes or failures. I'd appreciate hearing more about other women's experience with it. Thank you.
hello I'm interested to hear how everything went for you because I'm in the same situation right now
I went to ccrm in lone star last year. I ended up with 2 CCS normal day 6 BB blasts, transferred both and have awesome boy/ girl twins. I believe in their lab, and took a huge financial risk with them and was lucky to have it all work out. AA grading is awesome - good luck to you! I too am in the same position right now, only had 3 make it to blastocyst and of the 3 only one came back normal after genetic testing. The one that made it is a 7-day rated AA. Hubby and I meet with CCRM next week to discuss options. Doctor said he thinks there's a 50% chance of leading to a successful pregnancy, but I'm reading online it's more like 28% chance. I'm 37, had 23 eggs retrieved, 19 mature, 9 fertilized and I'm left with 1. But it only takes one.... Best of luck to you, keep us posted!
