[/quote] that's not really true. We do know that a lot of ASD diagnoses when made at 2 are "lost." It's fairer to say that ASD is a big spectrum, and you can't always tell at 2 where a child will be on that spectrum. [/quote] Then they were misdiagnosed.[/quote] Different poster here. It's really not that clear. It's possible they were misdiagnosed. It's also possible that they learned how to mask their symptoms well enough to "pass." And given how little we know about ASD brains, it's possible some really can grow out of it, but researchers currently believe this is unlikely.[/quote]
