My mom had a lovely Ivy League college friend who became increasingly mentally ill and who was released into the streets due to this push and was murdered while living homeless by Union Station in the 70s. That would be pre-Reagan. It's time for both parties to recognize that as a nation we went too far in both providing for only elective mental health (the liberals) and not funding mental health for those who seek it (both parties I'd say) and look at ways to commit those who are a harm to themselves and others, and treat those who seek it.[/quote]
