So all of the "illegals are destroying our schools" whining is just BS. You just don't like ESOL. Got it.
Wow. Tell us, do your children attend a school in Bailey's Crossroads? Annandale? Herndon? Chantilly? If they do not, then STFU. Your opinion doesn't matter unless your children are actually affected by the majority ESOL kids who attend so many FCPS schools. God, sanctimonious liberals are the *worst*.
I live at the intersection of Herndon and Chantilly. The kids in a 3-4 mile radius around me attend Lee’s Corner, Oak Hill, Floris, Fox Mill, Crossfield, Greenbrier West, Navy, Rocky Run, Carson, Franklin, Chantilly, Oakton and Westfields. None of which are below a GS 8 (except Westfields). I suspect you don’t actually live in Fairfax County if you think Herndon/ Chantilly is an ESOL nightmare.
That end of Herndon, near Chantilly, is nice. Large SFHs, upscale townhouses, higher-end condos and apartments. Take a meander down to another area of Herndon, like Eldon Street and Alabama Avenue. All low-income garden apartments, two and three families together, and a hotbed of M-13 activity. And while you're there, check out the 7/11. There are around 50 illegals there every morning, waiting for under the table day work. I once stopped at the McDonalds near there, and the parents were letting their kids run wild all over the place, and screaming like they were in a carnival funhouse. Let's not pretend that's a plus for our country. Can't imagine the schools around there are any too great.
Just for fun, read crime/police reports, search terms "Herndon Alabama Avenue" Also, the elementary school you may be interested in reading about is Hutchison ES. Or, Herndon HS.
Just checked Great Schools ranking. Herndon High and Herndon Middle are both 4, and Herndon Elementary is a 2. Anyone who wants to pretend this has nothing to do with the rampant illegal population taking over downtown Herndon (north of the Dulles Toll Road) is living in Liberal Dream Land.
