I know Wesleyan does.[/quote] Not really. Amherst has cracked down on fraternities pretty ruthlessly in recent years (including outright abolishing them in 2014- lots of articles on the matter). Opinions from students and alums are mixed, but on the whole negative because those groups were what gave Amherst its social life (their parties were open to all students regardless of involvement). In exchange, Amherst built the PowerHouse as the social hub of the college. There is an athlete divide though- non-athletes and athletes don't really intermingle.
