Manafort is as venal as Trump. He will spill his guts if it keeps him out of jail. And he knows that he can't rely on Trump to pardon him. Trump will throw Manafort and anyone else under the bus to save his own ass.[/quote]

It seems like if anyone would have the goods on Trump, Manafort would. If he doesn't have them, then Trump might really just be craven and horrible and greedy and dumb and impulsive and corrupt but not treasonous on top of that.[/quote]

One thing billionaires (and CEOs, etc.) are very, very good at is getting subordinates to do the crimes while they themselves (the billionaires) appear above it all.  I wouldn't be surprised if Trump had a history of this sort of behavior.[/quote]
