OP here.  We've always had a pretty good relationship.  Also, like I mentioned above, she's a very driven Type A personality who has had a strong career and is an overachiever at home as well.  There's really nothing for me to get on her case about.[/quote]

You probably not that self aware and in my brevity I did not explain the well.

1) I don't know 1 biker that is not a douce. I know you don't think you are like them, but you are.

2) while you were "training" your wife was raising children. Resentment kills the sexy life.

When I was an avid racer I would use the trainer early in the morning (before the kid was up), or at lunch.  On Saturday, my wife and I agreed upon me being able to use 7:00AM - 12:00 as my weekend training time.  And I would never claim to do more than her but we have always had an agreed upon split for housework.  As far as our son, I'm a very engaged parent - including homework, Scouting, sports, etc.  I've even taken a class in Singapore Math as that's what his school teaches and it allows me to be better at helping with his homework.
