You really think HYPS are going to be forced to turn into 90% soulless Asian grinds? Maybe we should subpoena Tiger parents phone and email records to see if they paid an essay writer, college consultant, cram shop for exam data, and on and on. Tell me how international kids can't speak a lick of English yet write flawless common app essays and score perfectly on the SAT.
+1000
Honestly, this. What will happen is that these schools will begin looking for traits that are not academic to get more white people on campus. Look, I worked in biglaw and saw it as clearly as day. All of sudden no one cares about grades or writing ability when it comes to Asian attorneys. They get branded as too meek and lacking in "leadership" skills. Hence unqualified compared to white (mostly male) attorneys. Black and Latinos get labeled unqualified academically. You can't win at this and the whole exercise is just another chance to engineer the deck in favor of people it's always been.
+1
I wish people realized this sooner. There's no way that the scores alone will be the sole basis for admissions. What the schools will obviously do is pick random idiosyncratic things to create their class.
