No one at work calls me Mom. That would be weird. I personally dislike all the weird nicknames that people use, calling people "Girl", "Mama," "Sister," "Bitch" (especially the last one, for obvious reasons). I'm white, and I get that in other cultures, it's common or a form of endearment, so I guess I'm not offended. I just don't like it. If you know me, call me by my name. If you don't, then "ma'am" is fine. Even "Hey You" is better than "Hey Mama!" [/quote]
