No the girl violently assaulted someone. It is amazing anyone would say it is okay to physically assault someone. The boy was totally in the right to defend himself. If the girl continues to behave in this way, she is going to get into a situation where someone will not show such restraint. Being a girl does not give you permission to beat on someone.
