I can just see the "oh, no, she didn't mean...rap songs..." excuses. But no. If you haven't taught your children about the awful treatment of black people in this country for centuries -- as recently as grandma and grandpa were alive -- then you are willfully ignoring it because to admit it is to recognize it.
