SJC has become increasingly difficult to get into because of the popularity and diverse academic offerings from the scholars program to the Benilde Program. Well my kid got the presidential scholarship at SJC and turned it down to go to Gonzaga, mainly because he liked the idea of being in an all male environment.  We were thrilled because we believe Gonzaga is providing a stronger overall academic experience and that he is being exposed to the poor and marginalized on a daily basis through its location as well as the soup kitchen in the basement.[/quote]
