Does anyone wonder why so many of the signs carried by these protesters (presumably German or European since this event is in Hamburg) are in English?
Because English is the unofficial international language. But also-- do you not get that many of the protests are directed at the US in general, and Trump specifically? He is so incredibly hated overseas. The protests do no good if Trump/Americans/the American press can't read the signs.
He didn’t seem to be hated so much by the President of France, Macron. I guess you didn’t see him pushing through a crowd to position himself next to Trump for a photo shoot. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world-0/us-politics/trump-macron-handshake-g20-photo-france-leader-pushes-to-front-a7830036.html
After the world leaders assembled on a three-tiered riser for a class photo, the young French president could be seen pushing through the crowd to stand next to Donald Trump. Protocol states that the most recently elected leaders must stand furthest from the host member in the middle – in this case Angela Merkel – yet Macron appeared to take this as an opportunity to zone in on Trump like a cruise missile. Not only did he stand by the US President, but reached out and grabbed him, before cornering him afterwards.
Video: http://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-40544746/g20-macron-moves-close-to-trump-for-summit-family-photo
That's pretty funny considering all the "hate". Lol.
Alternative Fact. Did you read the caption? It says Macron was "honoring the tradition that says that those newest to office stay furthest from the center." That was Trump, who is new to office and thus placed on the very end, until someone directed Macron next to Trump on the far outside, since he was elected after Trump. Are you already so tired of winning that you are watching videos of people being lined up for a photo op in order of seniority, and because a win because someone didn't refuse to move to their correct spot beside Trump? Are we really reduced to being proud of the fact that the French President is willing to stand beside POTUS for a photo op? So. Much. Winning.
