I actually know quite a few wonderful people who are smart and loving and kind who really detest most animals kept indoors (it's not just dogs). I feel similarly. I don't really mind them, I get why people love having pets, if I am friends with you, I'll pet your dog or you cat. I'll be sad with you when your pet dies. I'll be worried with you when it's hurt or sick. But overall, I feel a much stronger connection to people. Relationships with people fill me up and fulfill me in a way an animal never could. I also realize there is not one right way to live. So it's great people love dogs and find relationships with them worthwhile. I do not feel this way. But I won't resort to name calling over it.[/quote]
