if you want classes or a program that will help you start a business, it sounds like you need a more concrete plan.  there are community college classes and other, for-profit commercial programs that are designed for exactly that purpose.  you could combine those with some classes to update your skills in whatever it is you do . . . .  so, a more cheaper and focused plan that uses school to get you to an end goal.    your DH might be persuaded then.  if not, well, maybe he is just trying to keep you down.
