I did Easter egg hunts into my late teens but my mom put money into the eggs instead of candy. It doesn't matter to me if my kids believe in the Easter bunny or not. We'll continue to do the hunts for as long as we can.
This. My kids loved the hunts well into their teens. Money, nail polish (all girls) in the eggs and some still had the Jelly Beans. One special egg for each girl so I assigned them each a color and if you found the egg not your color you weren't allowed to share where it was, i.e., DD1 was blue but DD2 found the blue egg. She was not allowed to acknowledge so it was fun for all of them collecting eggs and searching for their special one. Their friends even wanted to join in.
