Absolutely-look at the comparative scores, and aside from Lafayette, whose building is newer, all the others are smaller/less crowded. The others-even Mann-have more diversity, and all of them have smaller class sizes, and there are non-JKLM schools like Ross and Stoddert that score better. I honestly have never understood the fuss made over Janney, since the other schools have as much or more to offer and dont make such a fuss-you never hear people boosting Mann or Lafayette or even Key, and they always score better than Janney.[/quote]

Nope, it's the smaller class size, smaller school community, more diverse community (Janney is the least diverse of the 4 in every way), the building, the scores, and not the perceived smugness, but the fact that NO OTHER DCPS ELEMENTARY boosts themselves-I just don't get it when ALL the schools are good, and they are #4 of the 4 in my book.

You misread. I didn't say anywhere that Janney is the best, nor do I think that. I don't even have kids at the school. I believe all of these schools are great and each have their strengths and weaknesses. And it's kind laughable that you think no other school has boosters on this forum, you must really be focusing on the Janney threads for some strange reason. And then you just assume that every post that gives an obnoxious one liner about the school's superiority was actually written by a Janney parent and not by a troll who wants to fire up people like you.[b] How many Janney parents have you heard boosting like this in real life?[/b] All the ones that I have met (and I have several friends with kids there) have been really nice and down to earth people.[/quote]
