I wonder if she agreed to have another child or if her husband is too sex obsessed to think straight.
Not sure what you are implying but I doubt that he forced her to have sex. If she didn't want to be around him, she wouldn't be around him. They married each other wanting to have a big family. They apparently STILL want to have a big family even after the big scandal. And that's exactly what they are doing. Personally, I think I would have kept it at 4 kids if I were Anna. But I'm not Anna.
It's not so simple in their cult. The women are raised to be submissive and do what they need to do to make their marriages work. She was blamed for his indiscretions.
She was living in Arlington (or at least somewhere in Northern Virginia) when the sh*t hit the fan about Josh. The woman was not living an isolated cultish life. She was quite happy being in the public eye and she had an outpouring of support when this news came out. People felt horrible for Anna and she probably had access to a lot more help than average. If she chose to stay with Josh, that is on Anna.
-Maryland. -You can be in the "public eye" and not associate with that public, thanks to the magic of cameras. Cameras = $$ for the Dugger clan. We have all been exposed to the Duggars, but to say that they have been immersed in much culture outside of their own cultish families and compounds is a joke. -What form did that "help" take? -Agree that probably no one is physically forcing her to stay in the marriage, but what are the consequences for her if she divorces him? There is a lot of pressure in that circle not to give up on a marriage. She does not live a free life in the same way that most Americans live a free life. She lives life as an insulated member of an extremely conservative cult.
I thought she was attending kiddie "Mommy and Me" type classes with 1 or more of her kids. She wasn't living in an isolated cult somewhere in the sticks of Maryland. She was getting out, shopping, taking her kids places. I'm sure she attracted attention wherever she went. Probably her breaking free from Josh would have gotten her own reality t.v. program. She could have done it, but she chose to stay married to Josh. She apparently wants that life and that lifestyle. No one is forcing her to stay in it.
