You are starting your clock not at your house but some other place (what is Potomac Village). So that shaves off another 5-10 min. Then, Dupont is not downtown. Getting down to K street or farther from MD would easily add another 10-15 min. I know this because I work in Dupont circle and DH works down by gallery place. His commute is easily another 20 min.
