I think it's troublesome you give your husband so little agency. Listen to yourself "forcing them to turn off a movie." "...I've thoroughly vetted."  Your husband isn't allowed to determine that your son is old enough to watch a movie with him? Why do you have so little trust in your husband's judgement?

The number of women who say stuff like that here boggles me. Are you married to your men or parenting them?

BTW I watches all kinds of horror flicks from the time I was about 8 and have never murdered anyone or even had a nightmare.[/quote]
