If it truly was abuse, why did they wait a year to Release? According to the author of the book, the dog was nervous because he had not jumped in from that side before and had actually willingly jumped in from another point many times. He/ she also claimed that the clip of the dog nearly drowning was very misleading. There were several people in the water with the dog including a scuba diver below.
