You never know what might come out of discovery.[/quote] I think what you describe is one of the dangers of a plea agreement. It allows people to make this sort of assumption that contributes to the false narrative. While I am not a lawyer, I am skeptical that very much discovery into Podesta's private matters would be allowed. Clearly there is no child sex ring being run out of Comet and whatever belief Welch had that there was could not have been influenced by any private information. Going on a fishing expedition is not going to change the fact that he criminally discharged a weapon inside Comet Ping Pong or committed the other offenses with which he is charged. [/quote]
