I have 2 boys and couldn't be happier. I am not good at any girly stuff -- I've never figured out curling irons or eye liner. I have had one manicure in my entire life, when my sister dragged me the day before my wedding. I never dreamed of being a princess or having a horse or a unicorn or any of that stuff. I'm sure if I had girls I would love them to pieces, but I am definitely super happy with my noisy boy family.
I'm so glad you are happy. But, just wanted to point out that not every girl uses curling irons, eye liners get manicures, pedicures, wear makeup, play Barbies etc. I am a women who never wears makeup and never did any of the things you mention. My girls did have a pink and purple phase and they like horses so they did lessons ( not much different than any other lesson) So, glad you are happy but, please don't make wide sweeping generalizations because they don't work for everyone. Have a lovely day!
NP. I have to make the same point regarding the idea that all the boys are noisy and rambunctious and all the girls sit around quietly having tea parties. Not so much. I have one of each sex. They really are equally noisy and active. We, their parents, are athletic, active people. I could have had 10 daughters and I don't think any of them would sit around staring at books all day. It's not in our DNA. The stereotypes are unbelievable. Also, gasp...some boys like art, music, theater, dancing, dolls, and other "girly" stuff.
