Sorry, as a military family of 26 years and with an active duty son, it's been part of my history for almost 3 decades, starting with my own boot camp graduation.

My dad was military, although I'm not, so maybe that's not good enough for you.  I cannot imagine why it would be a good idea to roll tanks down Pennsylvania Avenue.  Or Main Street, Anytown.  [/quote]

"We" don't have a history of the type of military parades that China and North Korea do, as were referenced in the OP's article.  Military parades on holidays, etc., yes, general parades of tanks down Pennsylvania Avenue to show off our strength?  No.[/quote]
