My husband has a beard like that, but rounded at the bottom, not square. He had it pretty short when we were trying to get pregnant with our first kid, and he promised me he'd grow it out once I got pregnant. I never got pregnant, so he grew it out anyway, and BAM. Two kids later, he's still got it, and I still think it's sexy as hell. That said, if your wife doesn't like, she doesn't like it.
