I don't think you do understand my sarcasm.  None of these women are known for being "pretty."

TF only talks about the scar b/c people ask.  It was pretty traumatic what happened to her:

I don't disagree with you.  However, women who star as movie leads are either A. generally considered classically pretty (Keira Knightly, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams) or B. fat/funny (Amy Schumer for example).

Even the lead for the "ugly" girl is gorgeous, e.g.,:

Sometimes Brits will put a female lead who is neither classically pretty, overweight, or known for being a comedienne, e.g., the lead for Persuasion  [img]http://content.internetvideoarchive.com/content/photos/143/6035_028.jpg[/img]

I just find these posts particularly inane.  Oh, so-and-so is SO pretty.  Well, duh.[/quote]
