No, they did what they felt needed to be done ..... and now they can live with the consequences.

There is a reason why the filibuster has survived for so many years: most senators realized that fortunes could change down the line and they wanted to preserve their right to block appointments. Heck, Reid was already talking about eliminating the filibuster for Supreme court appointments because he assumed Hillary would win.[/quote]
