It is great for Prep when they win and storm the field and take pictures on the Landon Logo and the parents of Prep players walk around on the field like they own the place, but when the Landon kids go on the field, grab your Pearls Prep folks because Landon kids doing what Prep kids do is just … just… just terrible. Prep is 7-2 in the last nine meetings largely because of the four COVID games in one year against a generational Prep team. The hypocrisy of Prep folks typically knows no bounds. Kudos to both goalies and the Fogos competed hard. Prep lost some key pieces and standing around and the Princeton kids for two years didn’t help their offense.
That’s funny. That’s what Landon does. Two years ago Landon took player and parent photos on the Prep field after they beat Prep. I have never seen Prep parents taking photos on Landon’s field. Not sure I have seen Prep’s student body on Landon’s field either. In fact, in the nationally televised Prep vs Bullis game last year the student body didn’t storm the field and instead walked around to congratulate the team on the sideline. But nice try.
Yep, You might want to have your vision checked, or maybe you haven't been around very long... more likely the latter. In the IAC it is typical for students from Bullis, Landon, Prep, and St. Albans to run onto the field after victories in big football and lacrosse games and occasionally in soccer. Prep students and parents have done it many times. I have seen it. So stop with your holier than thou attitude. In the end...So What! They are kids. The parents on the field should likely try to grow up and attempt to stop living vicariously though their children. I haven't seen parents from Bullis or St. Albans on the field... mostly Prep and Landon adults on the field - the bad blood often runs deep and there is little turning of the cheek or loving thy brother or any of those troublesome Christian expectations. Hats off to the goalies on both teams, the fogos who really scrapped, the Landon Defense, and special thanks and acknowledgement to the Prep defender who pulled up and didn't hurt Landon's LSM. The Landon kid was completely vulnerable and the Prep defender hit him just hard enough but well within the parameters of what is allowed in today's game. In my day that would have been a decleating and the Landon kid would have likely needed assitance getting off the field instead of walking off. Good on you Prep Defender. All the folks on this forum, let's follow the model of that kid.
Great post, and fully agree
