They reported missing canned goods and other signs that the cabins had been used. My family owned a cabin in the NC mountains, and I once went there with a friend at the start of summer to find plentiful evidence that it had been used since the last time my family had been there, and very recently (lettuce leaves in the sink that were barely wilted). It was a creepy feeling. Anyway, someone could have lived in that cabin from September through May and we wouldn’t have known, had they cleaned up properly.[/quote]
