BSC is a non-profit org so they get fields from the county for free. They are the only club in the area that I know of that charges for tryouts. Somehow all of the other  clubs including ones much smaller then BSC manage it all without squeezing every last penny they can out of families[/quote]

You are completely misinformed. They do pay a lot for fields and unlike smaller clubs, the amount of kids that want to try out is much higher and not something anyone can absorb cost wise because you don't like it. If you don't think it's warranted, go with the free ones.[/quote]
