Give me a break. Yep it's DC that causes competition. NO family in NYC or Chicago or SF is grooming its kids for an ivy. Nope. None at all. Just those awful DC families.

Newsflash -- any place where you have well educated parents with money and with some kind of educational pedigree -- you will get competition for the top schools. That's where they went, that's where they want their kids to go. So the same attitudes exist in NYC - including the NYC area suburbs like Westchester, Long Island, NJ, CT; Chicago; SF; Silicon Valley; etc.[/quote]
