I'm not upset.  I clearly know my side and am comfortable with it.

But you can't seem to answer my question.  Why would God - who created us - dismiss an atheist?  You're clear that this is the case, which only solidifies in my mind that your God is controlling and judgmental - and an asshole, for that matter.

Funny, you don't seem comfortable with the idea that my imaginary deity would allow you to have the afterlife you feel is appropriate. You have plans for eternal blankness, I don't. No one is dismissing you.[/quote]

The deity is not imaginary to you, though --  he's real and you know that he won't let a good atheist in, someone who was good on earth and would be good in Heaven, but not good enough for god because the atheist didn't believe in him while on earth.[/quote]
