I really don't get the "black community" hate. I hear this by black people all the time. So, you think they are wrong, too? I'm thinking most black people in this country do use the term "black community".
There are MILLIONS of black people in the US from many different backgrounds. How can you make this assertion with a straight face?
I think recent African immigrants self-segregate from the American black community. So when people say "black community', they mean those that identify as American blacks, not those who are recent immigrants. Most American blacks who have been here for generations do not say "Nigerian-American", "Kenyan-American", mostly because obviously they don't really know where their lineage comes from.
This statement is overplayed. I live in PG County and there are plenty of Africans. Even more, many of them get the wake up call about being black in America and develop empathy for the AA plight in America. Even more, ALL that I have talked to have a deep dislike for white people and want them out of their home countries. The African is like the Asian when it comes to smiling in your face, but hating your guts behind your back. Don't be fooled. Don't be fooled.
+1
