Justin Theroux comes from a long line of cultured and creative people. Paul Theroux, the writer, is his uncle, which is just one example. See his wiki page. He was in Mulholland Drive and posted a nice tribute to David Lynch on his insta when the director passed. This is an actor's actor, who cares more for the project that the fame or money it will bring. Now he's focused on being a father. What a great arc.
Time will tell.
Right? Color me skeptical.
Sometimes guys change, and mature at a fairly advanced age. I'll be nice and say it's always possible. I do wonder what will happen when they have to choose who gets to accept a role and who doesn't when there is a scheduling conflict and someone has to stay home with the kid. Little babies are portable. Toddlers and school-age children, not so much. Plus her career is on the rise, while his roles have not been so great recently (that bad Netflix series?) Can his ego handle that?
Agree he might get jealous if she continues to get more prominent roles in hotter shows/films than he does. But it also depends a lot on their individual dynamic. Some actresses step back from their careers somewhat when they start having kids, and it's a choice not something forced on them by lack of opportunities. If they have another kid in the next few years, I would not be surprised if her career stalls somewhat simply because she may become less willing to take roles that film on location or require very long hours. This is very, very common and is why you see a lot of actresses kind of disappear a bit in their mid-to-late 30s (Jen Garner, Gwyneth Paltrow) as they choose just work occasionally and focus on parenting. Men are less likely to do this and also there are more roles written for men in their 40s, 50s, 60s, etc. So there's a decent likelihood that he'll have a career resurgence and she'll take a step back, and he would probably love that dynamic. They'll have lots of help with parenting and the household which will take away that stress. Also she'll have help and motivation to stay looking a certain way, since her career requires it, so he's a little less likely to lose interest there. A lot of his friends are happily married men with kids. That bodes well for his marriage. He likely really wanted this life and is hoping to have what his friends have.
