It is amazing what countries can build when they're not throwing away $5 trillion dollars down the toilet in the middle east. We went to Japan and it is just mind blowing how everything works. Trains are on time. Trash gets picked up. World class infrastructure. Virtually no crime. South Korea, the same thing. Singapore the same thing. Taiwan the same. Even a country like Thailand had much more affordable healthcare in our experience (broke arm cost $240 total to treat with zero insurance). We haven't been to China yet, but their progress with regards to modernization is blowing the US out of the water. Many areas of the US are stuck in like 1960s development and have gone downhill since. [/quote]
