I do however think living in Del Ray area is an awesome location.  I prefer it over McLean.  I think Arlington is def tier 1 and although everyone loves N Arl, I like S Arl for more fun. I get Great Falls and why McLean is top rated.  As much as I love Old Town it's not convenient to anything but Old Town/Alex.

For me, it can't just be about housing location and schools.  There's got to be conveniences - food, shopping, etc. I would be bored out of my mind living in McLean, Vienna, etc. as much as I'd hate to be out so far, I find Ashburn and Leesburg more interesting than Centreville or Sterling.  As a whole though NOVA is boring.
