DC arrived at Chantilly at 7:35 and barely made it to class on time. The schools need to open the doors earlier.
This doesn't make any sense! at all!
What doesn't make sense?
I mean, the student arrived school early enough but still almost be late, this sounds unreasonable
They aren't walking thru doors. They are waiting in a line of hundreds maybe thousands of kids. The biggest schools have 2800+ students. How do you think that many kids can go thru metal detectors in 20 minutes?
That would have been an excellent question to ask before the Board required detectors at schools that don't have weapons/violence problems.
Didn't they try this in several school in the spring? Didn't they figure out whether this is feasible in all high schools with all 4 grades? What's the meaning of test this using a pilot program without identifying the issue and finding the solution?
This is the FCPS way.
