The pagesix article mentions her video after she was outed where she explains "I spent some of my childhood in Boston, some of my childhood in Spain, ... My family, my brother, my parents, my nephew, everybody is over there in Spain now [while] I’m here."

According to her childhood neighbors and classmates, they remember the family vacationing in Spain a COUPLE of times. As in a 2 week summer vacation. It wasn't every year or even most years. Hilaria lies and describes those vacations as "some of her childhood in Spain". She also lied and threw in "school was involved, but it would be maddening to try and give any details" (probably a beach resort kid's art session).

Her father was an attorney and her mother was a MD in Boston - they weren't spending an unusual amount of time in Spain.

Her parents retired and moved to Spain when she was 27. Her brother married a Spaniard and moved to Spain and had a kid.

Her former neighbors/classmates don't remember the family speaking Spanish at home, but say it's possible they had Nannies who spoke Spanish.
